Savored By Saints.
And Those Who Ain’t.
We make botanical spirits that capture the spirit of this moment right here. The Italian—and broadly, human—tradition of sitting, singing, sipping, and being together.
Of having an aperitivo in the noonday sun and a digestivo before the day is done. No matter the occasion, even if it’s none.
Here, we stop and smell the flowers. And then we pick a few, sweet-talking their sweet-somethings into our bittersweet liqueurs.
Leisurely liqueurs. For those who savor.
We craft botanical spirits that capture the spirit of the Italian aperitivo tradition for discerning drinkers and those who serve them. Liqueurs like ours are steeped in history and have been enjoyed around the world for centuries. Read more about amaro and our line of products on our Botanical Spirits page.
What We Make
We macerate natural botanicals like herbs, spices, barks, roots, flowers, fruits, and vegetables in stainless steel tanks using neutral grain spirits. We source many ingredients from small, local producers or forage them responsibly ourselves (usually with our kids). When maceration is complete, we naturally filter the spirits before sweetening and proofing.
How We Make It
Why We Do It
We savor the moment. We breathe deeply, follow our passions, live fully, and sip slowly. We create these spirits to inspire others to do the same. A slower, calmer, more peaceful world is what we’re after.
Who We Are
Founded by Jonathan Allinson, San Luigi Spirits is inspired by the flavors, people, and stories of his Italian upbringing. Named for his grandfather (and his adopted hometown of St. Louis) and motivated by his daughters’ love of foraging botanicals, San Luigi connects heritage, horticulture, and hospitality.
We seek to share these traditions with others and create a brand that inspires joy, connection, and intentionality.
